I transitioned to Offshore Seals (Asia) Pte. Ltd. on September 2, 2009, as an IT Administrator and Web Developer. In this role, I was responsible for Windows Server Administration, including server installation and configuration, managing server roles, Active Directory and Group Policy, file, print, and web services, application servers, and troubleshooting. Additionally, I managed the mail exchange server and web server, ensuring that email services remained operational 24/7 with no downtime.
I also took on the task of designing and developing the company’s websites, continuously improving the web design on a page-by-page basis. During this period, I honed my skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL database frameworks. Although I initially had limited experience in coding, I dedicated myself to learning and improving my skills daily, which allowed me to grow and excel in the role over time.

I collaborated closely with talented engineers to create precise 3D models of offshore drilling tools, serving crucial design purposes. These models were instrumental in visualizing the intricate details and functionality of the tools, ensuring accuracy and reliability in our manufacturing processes.
Back in 2010, while working at Offshore Seals (Asia) before it was acquired by Freudenberg Oil & Gas, I had the opportunity to create a series of technical illustrations. Using only brush tools in Adobe Photoshop, I carefully rendered each layer and segment to bring these designs to life. It was a challenging yet exciting project, and the positive feedback from my boss made it all the more rewarding. Reflecting on this experience, I’m proud of the skills and creativity it allowed me to develop.
I played a key role in the ERP migration process during the acquisition of Offshore Seals (Asia) by Freudenberg Oil & Gas. Our team transitioned from the Tally ERP system to SAP, and I collaborated closely with the Financial Controller and Accounts Manager to ensure the successful setup and migration of all ERP requirements. Additionally, I was responsible for preparing comprehensive IT audit reports for both internal and external audit teams, which were crucial to the smooth completion of the acquisition process in IT-related areas. This experience not only enhanced my technical expertise but also deepened my understanding of ERP systems and IT compliance.
In 2013, I ventured into entrepreneurship by establishing my own IT consultancy, drawing on my extensive network within the offshore sector to create a robust and successful business. My professional journey then led me to serve as IT Manager at OE Group Inc. Offshore Energy (S) Pte Ltd., where I took on the responsibility of overseeing the development of interactive applications and spearheading product development initiatives related to the offshore industry. This role allowed me to merge my technical expertise with strategic leadership, driving innovation and efficiency in offshore product solutions.
During that period, mobile phone cameras were not as advanced as they are today. My boss tasked me with finding a way to capture video footage of the machining process for offshore seals directly inside the machine. I devised a setup to position a camera within the machine, successfully recording the machining in action. The final video exceeded expectations, and my boss was highly impressed with the results.
