My passion for technology led me to explore cutting-edge innovations, including 3D Picture Capturing, Scanning, 3D Modeling, and Laser Engraving, through hands-on experience with Inspeck Canada and advanced training with Hans Laser China. This technical foundation paved the way for my role as a Computer Graphic Artist at Reddot Collections Pte Ltd in 2008. I subsequently transitioned into IT Administration within the offshore equipment manufacturing sector at Freudenberg Oil & Gas, Offshore Seals (Asia) Pte Ltd. These roles not only enhanced my technical expertise but also offered invaluable insights into the complexities of the offshore industry.
In 2013, I ventured into entrepreneurship by establishing my own IT consultancy, drawing on my extensive network within the offshore sector to create a robust and successful business. My professional journey then led me to serve as IT Manager at OE Group Inc. Offshore Energy (S) Pte Ltd., where I took on the responsibility of overseeing the development of interactive applications and spearheading product development initiatives related to the offshore industry. This role allowed me to merge my technical expertise with strategic leadership, driving innovation and efficiency in offshore product solutions.
A transformative phase of my journey began in 2017 when I joined Nanyang Technological University as a Virtual and Augmented Reality Developer cum Project Officer, driven by a belief in technology’s transformative potential in education. This led to my role at VARTEL Pte Ltd in 2020, where I contributed to the development of innovative VR, AR, and MR products, blending artificial intelligence across various industries.
Beyond professional accomplishments, I take immense pride in my community involvement and volunteer work. Together with my wife, we have been active Litter Free Ambassadors, Dengue Prevention Volunteers, and participants in numerous National Environment Agency (NEA) initiatives since 2017. Our commitment was recognized with several commendations, reflecting our dedication to environmental stewardship.
I serve as a grassroots leader (GRL) in Bukit Gombak Guilin RC and as the assistant secretary in the Community Emergency and Engagement Committee (C2E). Over the past five years, I have actively volunteered at numerous national events and Chua Chu Kang GRC initiatives. My involvement has included CPR/AED and First Aid training, enhancing my ability to contribute meaningfully to community welfare and emergency preparedness.
A significant personal milestone is my unwavering commitment to blood donation, with a total of 64 contributions—61 in Singapore and 3 in Yangon, Myanmar—each helping to save lives.
